Starting off in adolescence, acne can be a feat that many dream of overcoming. Is it possible or is being acne free, just a dream? Is it possible to have healthy and vibrant skin that is rid of acne, even in those teenage years?Some think not, but I don’t agree with them! It is completely possible.

Becoming acne free can change your life! It can boost your self-esteem and make you feel better about the way that you look on a daily basis.You won’t awaken in fear that your face has been visited by large zits during the night.Finally, those days can be over.

Keeping your face clean is one of the first steps to becoming acne free.Try to cleanse your skin twice a day with soap that worked well with your skin type, and this is one key to keeping the blemishes at bay.Exfoliate your skin every other day, as this is often recommended.This step helps to discard the dead skin cells that can build up and cause unwanted pimples.

Another part of keeping your skin clean is to nourish it from the inside out.To keep your skin healthy and hydrated, it is essential to drink plenty of water and eat a healthy diet. Foods that are high in anti-oxidants and omega-3 fatty acids are perfect for keeping your skin looking its best. Drinking 10 glasses of water a day will give your body and skin enough hydration to keep your skin radiating.

Rest is another factor to maintaining healthy skin.Have you seen a person who gets little or no sleep with flawless skin? It just doesn’t happen.In order for your skin to renew itself, you need to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. This quality sleep will also help you remain stress free which will keep you acne free.

Eliminating stress can be a difficult feat in our day and age. However, restful sleep and exercise can help in this area. Exercise is also essential for healthy skin as it keeps the skin properly oxygenated.

By protecting your skin from sun exposure and not smoking, you can help rid yourself of acne.If we are out in the sun without sunscreen, we should limit our skin’s exposure to only a few moments.Keep your skin protected from UV rays because they can do a lot of harm to your skin. Also, smoking cigarettes is not the best activity for your skin.The toxic and dangerous ingredients in cigarette smoke can not only clog your lungs, it also blocks your pours which will cause unwanted acne.

With these and other small steps, anyone can be acne free. It is possible, and not just a dream. Many adolescents and adults are living this dream every day by properly caring for their skin.
